To create a bow, begin by folding the two loops.

Add small lamb’s ear leaves to create the bow’s “ends.”

MIXED PLANT CORSAGE

This pretty corsage mixes lamb’s ear and sage for a pretty contrasting texture and introduces a fuzzy licorice vine as an accent. These can be used as decorations or corsage and boutonnières bases.

1. Roll a sage leaf into a tight roll and pierce it with two pieces of floral wire into an “x.” Bend lamb’s ear leaves into loops and place onto the wires with the curved side facing out.

2. Squeeze the leaves into the center to form a rosette.

3. Keep the corsage tight by pinching the base and wrapping floral tape around the leaves as you build.

4. Add in as many layers of looped leaves as you wish, then fold wires down gently to form a stem. Wrap the stem in floral tape.

5. Add in accents of fuzzy licorice vine if desired. Alternatively, use the lamb’s ear and sage rosette as a base for little wildflowers and other “pretties” for a new take on a traditional corsage or boutonnière.
